Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2026 Has Insane Tech Deals and These 8 Are Actually Worth It
TL;DR: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2026 is live with serious discounts on GPUs, CPUs, SSDs, monitors, and laptops. Top deals include an HP Omen desktop with RTX 5080 down to $2,799 from $4,999 and a MacBook Air M5 for $1,099. Some components are still pricey due to AI-driven demand, but the best deals here are legit.
Every year I tell myself I'm not going to fall for Prime Big Deal Days hype. Every year I end up with something in my cart that I absolutely needed. This year is no exception.
Amazon's fall Prime sale is running right now, and the tech deals are actually solid. Fair warning though: component prices are still elevated because of AI-driven demand. RAM and SSDs aren't as cheap as they used to be. But there are standout deals worth jumping on if you've been holding off on an upgrade.
The GPU and Desktop Deals
The biggest deal I've seen so far is the HP Omen 35L desktop. It comes loaded with an RTX 5080 GPU and an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, one of the best gaming processor configurations you can get right now. The original price is $4,999.99. The sale price is $2,799.99. That's a 44% discount, and it's genuinely massive for a pre-built with this kind of hardware.
If you want to build your own, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is down to $348, bundled with a free 850W power supply. The Intel Core i7-14700KF is at $279.99, also an all-time low, and it also comes with a free $90 PSU. Getting a PSU thrown in basically makes either CPU deal even better than the sticker price suggests.
Monitor Deals Worth Looking At
The AOC 27-inch QD-OLED 1440p display at 240Hz for $299.99 is the one that caught my attention. QD-OLED monitors were $600-700 a couple years ago. Getting a 240Hz 1440p OLED experience for $300 is kind of wild. There's also the Acer Nitro 240Hz OLED at $269 over at Walmart if you prefer that route.
If you want something bigger and premium, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 32-inch is $999.99. Not a steal, but a good monitor at that price point for content creators.
Storage Is Still Pricey But There Are Deals
Real talk: SSD prices haven't fully recovered to their pre-AI-boom lows. The Samsung 990 Pro 1TB is down to $249 (27% off) and the Kingston NV3 1TB is $156.99. The Team Group T-Force G50 Evo 4TB is $385.99 with a coupon, which is the best value if you need bulk storage.
These aren't the $80 1TB SSD deals we saw a few years back, but the 990 Pro is a fast NVMe drive and $249 is fair for what it is.
Laptop Deals
The MacBook Air M5 13-inch at $1,099 is the laptop deal of the event in my opinion. That's $200 off, and the M5 chip is fast. Battery life is exceptional, build quality is excellent, and $1,099 for the base model is a legitimate bargain if you're in the Apple ecosystem. Seriously, if you've been eyeing the MacBook Air, now is the time.
Dell XPS 13 starts from $599, solid for a premium compact laptop. And if you're a hardcore gamer and budget isn't a concern, the HP HyperX Omen Max with an RTX 5090 is $3,699, down $1,710 from its regular price.
Should You Buy Today or Wait?
My take: if you've had something specific on your list for a while, now is a reasonable time to pull the trigger on the deals I mentioned. The GPU deals especially look good. For components like RAM and SSDs, prices might slowly come down as AI infrastructure demand normalizes, but waiting another 6-12 months for a meaningful drop is a gamble.
The RTX 5080 desktop deal is the most time-sensitive since those tend to sell out fast on sale events like this.
